Enhanced Access
We have access to appointments for evening and weekend consultations in various locations based in the local area. Please ask at the reception for more details.
If you need help when we are closed
When the surgery is closed at weekends, evenings and public bank holidays, please contact 111 (NHS 111 online or call 111)if you require medical advice quickly, this is not an emergency.
When to use NHS 111
You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice, but it is not for life threatening situations.
Call 111 if
- You need medical help fast, but it’s not a 999 emergency.
- You think you may need to go to Accident & Emergency or need another NHS urgent care service.
- You don’t know who to call or you don’t have a GP to call.
- You need health information or reassurance about what to do next.
For less urgent health needs, contact your local pharmacist or the practice.
Out of hours services are generally busy, so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Accessibility
The surgery is on multiple levels. However, we are committed to ensuring that all patients can access our services safely and comfortably. There is a ramp providing wheelchair access into the building, allowing step-free entry for patients with mobility needs.
We have a designated clinical room that is fully accessible via wheelchair, ensuring that patients who are unable to use stairs can still be seen in an appropriate and comfortable clinical environment. Where possible, we aim to accommodate patients on the ground floor to minimise any barriers to access.
Our practice is designed to support disabled access wherever feasible. This includes clearly accessible routes for patients with mobility aids, and staff are available to provide assistance where needed. Please speak to a member of the reception team if you require help when attending the surgery, and we will be happy to support you.
Translation Service
The practice is able to arrange for translation services for patients who do not speak English. This can be either on the phone, for example for booking appointments, or in person when seeing a doctor or nurse.
This service is expensive to provide, but is provided at no cost to the patient. It is however vital that patients keep their appointments when a translator has been booked. If a patient cannot speak English, it may not be possible for them to be seen before a translator can be organised.
Only if there is an extremely urgent medical need will a consultation be arranged without a translator.
